Everything you need to know about oil baths: magic hair care!
What is the oil bath?
The oil bath is above all an intensive and customizable hair treatment. Adapt it to your hair type and needs.
However, there are some things you need to know to use it well!
How often should I do an oil bath?
One to two oil baths per week. There is no point in doing it more often because you risk over-nourishing your hair. The results ? Dry or too oily hair.
How long to leave in an oil bath?
The minimum break time for an oil bath is 30-45 minutes and a maximum of 3 hours. The hair cannot absorb more care than it needs. So there's no point in letting it sit longer.
Should you wash your hair after taking an oil bath?
Absolutely! It is important to wash your hair thoroughly after applying an oil bath. One or two shampoos are necessary depending on the oil applied.
Which oil should I use for my hair?
There are several vegetable oils, each with its own virtues and benefits. It's up to you to find the one that suits you and meets your needs! ChebHair offers you a whole range of oils, the hydrating oil GoldenOil Aloe Vera and Chebe to protect and deeply hydrate your hair, the fortifying oil GoldenOil Ricin and Chebe to intensely fortify and nourish your hair, the stimulating oil GoldenOil Ginger and Chebe to promote the growth of your hair or our ChebElixir, it will promote the growth of your hair and strengthen them thanks to its ultra-hydrating and fortifying properties. You can find all our oils on our website www.chebhair.com
Here are all the steps to apply your oil bath properly:
You start by preparing your oils. Some oils need to be heated in order to be easier to apply, so I recommend putting the bottle under hot water to make it more liquid.
Once the mixture is ready, you can apply it to your hair from roots to ends. It doesn't have to be a lot, you just need to distribute the mixture evenly over all your hair, separating your hair into several sections.
I then advise you to detangle your hair with a comb so that the mixture is evenly distributed and it penetrates better into your hair.
Little tip: if you wish, you can wrap your hair in a warm damp towel (without burning yourself of course!) so that the treatment penetrates even better.
Now you just have to wait 30 minutes minimum to 3 hours maximum. I advise you to pose in front of a small film and the turn is played!
Now is the time to rinse off. Shampoo once or twice to remove any oil residue and apply your usual care. You can now admire the result, your hair soft, shiny and hydrated! To be redone once a week to properly maintain your hair and keep it healthy.
